How is the thriller genre represented through conventions?

How is the thriller genre represented through conventions?

The convention of thriller are seen throughout the clip from Batman Begins, some of these conventions are Dark, Minor Tone and Restricted. Firstly the clip does occasionally dip into the dark, this is a common thriller convention as darkness has many denotations such as danger, evil and even the feeling of being scared. The use of darkness is to show the amount of fright hat the young Bruce has of Bats and of the Dark. The use of Minor Tone in the clip is due to Hans Zimmers original score for the film, the Minor Tone denotes the feeling of danger and of fright similar to the ones of darkness however the tone is seen in both the scenes of young and older Bruce this confirms the theory that his past haunts him even after all those years. The whole clip is filmed in the an Restricted narrative this like many thrillers mean that the audience don't know whats going to happen next in the movie this is uses to great effect tin the clip as it leaves the audience questioning what going to happen for example when younger Bruce falls down the well we don't know in the three mins how he got out and how he has managed to get himself in prison.
